About FAIRMED
The goal of FAIRMED – formerly Leprahilfe Emmaus Schweiz – is to prevent anybody from suffering or dying from a curable disease. We are based in Bern and are managed by a voluntary foundation board. Our finances are checked regularly by independent Swiss monitoring authorities and are published in our annual report.
Team
Our employees work with dedication and conviction for the very poorest of the poor. Our country offices in Cameroon, the Central African Republic, India, Sri Lanka and Nepal are staffed exclusively by locals.

History
In 1959, members of the 'Friends of Emmaus Bern’ founded the National Committee for the Lepers. Since then, we have been dedicated to helping those that need it most.
